Podiums, patience, and perseverance on the road to a perfect finish
Anže Lanišek has completed a season to remember. His consistency in the second half of the season and his focus were the hallmarks of an experienced athlete who knew his opportunity would come. It arrived at the most beautiful possible moment.
“Without a doubt, this is my finest victory”
An honest reaction after the win: happiness, relief, and emotion
“Without a doubt, this is my finest victory. I waited a long time for it and came very close several times. Fantastic. Fourth time lucky,” Anže told RTV Slovenija after the win.
On the final day of the season, everything he had worked towards throughout the winter came together, including the less visible work behind the scenes. That made the victory in Planica all the more special: the result of hard work, focus, and patiently waiting for the moment when everything would fall into place.
