Privacy and Cookie Policy

This policy explains how the KAGER website uses cookies and similar technologies, what data we process through them and how you can manage your preferences.

The use of cookies is governed in particular by Article 225 of the Slovenian Electronic Communications Act (ZEKom-2) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We use cookies that are not strictly necessary only with your prior consent.

Last updated: 13 October 2026.

What are cookies and similar technologies?

Cookies are small text files stored by a website in your browser or on your device. They enable essential functions, remember preferences and, if you consent, help measure website use and support advertising activities.

The website also uses browser local storage. Your selected cookie categories are saved there so that we do not have to ask for your choice on every visit.

Categories

Necessary: enable the website to function, remember your language and store your privacy preferences. These cannot be disabled because they are required to provide a service you explicitly requested.

Analytics: help us understand how visitors use the website and improve its content and performance. They are enabled only with your consent.

Advertising: support campaign measurement and, where applicable, personalised advertising. They are enabled only with your consent.

Technologies used by the website

kager_locale — a necessary first-party cookie that remembers the selected language; stored for up to one year.

cookie-consent — a browser local-storage entry that remembers your selected privacy categories; retained until you delete it in your browser.

_ga — a Google Analytics 4 cookie used to distinguish users; its standard lifetime is up to two years, although browsers may limit it.

_ga_<container-id> — a Google Analytics 4 cookie used to persist session state; its standard lifetime is up to two years, although browsers may limit it.

Additional analytics or advertising cookies may be set through Google Tag Manager only if you consent to the relevant category. Their names and lifetimes depend on the services currently enabled.

How can you give or withdraw consent?

On your first visit, you can reject optional cookies, accept all cookies or select individual categories. You can change your choice at any time through the “Cookie settings” link in the website footer.

You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you delete website data, we will ask for your choice again on your next visit. Blocking necessary technologies may affect some website functions.

Google Analytics 4

We use Google Analytics 4 through Google Tag Manager to measure website use. Analytics storage is denied by default and is enabled only after you select analytics cookies.

With your consent, Google Analytics may process page views, interactions, approximate location, device type, operating system, browser, referring address and request time. The IP address is used to provide the service and determine an approximate location; Google does not log or store the full IP address in Analytics.

Google Consent Mode

The website uses Google Consent Mode. The default settings for analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization are “denied”. A setting changes to “granted” only after you select the relevant analytics or advertising category.

Recipients and international transfers

Data associated with Google Analytics and advertising services may be processed by Google as our service provider. Data may also be processed outside the European Economic Area subject to appropriate safeguards required by applicable data-protection law.

Retention

The lifetime of individual cookies is stated above. Retention of user-level and event-level data in Google Analytics depends on our Analytics property settings and the provider’s rules; standard GA4 properties offer retention periods of two or fourteen months. Aggregated statistics in standard reports may be retained for longer.

Forms and email updates

We use information submitted through website forms to respond to your enquiry, provide requested information, prepare an offer, register you for an event or fulfil another purpose clearly stated next to the relevant form.

If you subscribe to email updates, we use your email address to provide information about KAGER activities, projects, events and offers. You can unsubscribe at any time through the link included in every message.

Your rights

Under applicable law, you may request access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, restriction of processing or data portability, and you may object to processing. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
